Dublar char is a beautiful small island of Sundarban. The island is well known for fish catch
and fish processing (dry fish) in the country. This beautiful Island is located in between
river Kunga and Mara Pashur and somewhere between Hiron point and Katka. This island
is famous for Rash Mela which started 200 years back and holy bath, a Hindu festival. A
three-day long yearly ritual is a highly exciting event for the tourists of both home and
abroad. It is a natural island where herds of spotted deer are often seen to graze. Here you
can also see different kind of wild animals and birds. This place is ideal for photographers.

Full monsoon is from June to September. The annual rainfall average between 65" and 70". During
ebb tide the forest becomes bare by 6-7 feet and at high tide (30 miles and hour) the entire
territory of the forest floats on water.
